Shelter
Android app for landlords and tenants to connect with each other. Landlords can use it post their property for rent and tenants can find home.
Working of the app
- Easy sign in using Facebook or Google for both landlord and tenant.
- Simple search option to see all the properties near by.
- Filter search based on location, radius and cost.
- Landlords can post property along with images (upto 5)
- Tenants can mark properties favorite and access them from anywhere.
- Landlords can update or remove their property from listing
Build with
- Android SDK - used Android Studio for development
- Place picker - part of Google Places API
- SearchView - used to provide search option
- RecyclerView - displays the results in list.
- ViewPager - to enable swiping through results on details page.
- Facebook sign up - easy sign up/in using Facebook account, also populates profile picture and name.
- Google sign up - easy sing up/in option using Google account, populates profile picture and name.
- Navigation Drawer - to provide option to navigate between Search and Favorites.
- APIs were provided by Flask application hosted on cloud.
